Allow Ruth Barnes to introduce you to the beautiful sounds of Twin Oaks. If you haven’t heard of these guys then prepare yourself, because we’re sure they’ll soon become one of your favourites.
They’re a duo from America made up of Aaron Christopher and Lauren Brown who have proved that they have the ability to produce beautiful and dreamy songs again and again.
A track that’s caught the attention of Ruth is Gravity which she picked as her Record Of The Week.

“Not An Exit is dreamy in more ways than one. The overall sound could be pegged at ‘Dream Pop’ and filed next to Lemolo or Fiona Apple, although the slighly fuzzy and minimal instrumentation conveys a slow serene imagining rather than some vividly ethereal fantasy. The result is a collection of songs that sound confidently crafted and fully controlled, holding the hand of the listener through beautiful oneiric landscape they have created.”
